Dr. Howard T. Bellin is certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and has been in the private practice of plastic surgery for more than 25 years. He is the founder of CosMedica and is the Plastic Surgeon who performs all of the surgery. He has taught plastic surgery at Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center and at New York Medical College and has been Chief of Plastic Surgery at Cabrini Medical Center however he now dedicates himself full time to CosMedica.
Dr. Bellin has been featured on many national television programs including Oprah, Geraldo, Extra, MTV and 20/20 and has been written about extensively in the press including the New York Times, People, Time and Cosmopolitan. Eighteen years ago he wrote Dr. Bellin's Beautiful You Book, which described every known plastic surgery operation and is found in many libraries across America. His latest book, called BeautyScience Advice from one of the World's Leading Plastic Surgeons has recently been published in England and is soon to be published in the United States. His knowledge extends beyond plastic surgery as Dr. Bellin is also a sculptor and an inventor.
To assist him, Dr. Bellin has assembled a staff of highly experienced nurses, consultants and office personnel who are very knowledgeable and caring individuals and who place the concerns of the patient above all else. Dr. Bellin has had extensive surgical experience, having performed more than 4000 rhinoplasties, 2000 breast enlargements, 1500 eyelid rejuvenations, 1200 liposuctions and similarly large numbers of other common procedures. In all, he has performed more than 12,000 operations in his lifetime. He has developed several unique techniques, especially in the areas of nasal reconstruction, jaw enlargement and liposuction, and he has invented an instrument used in breast augmentation.
