George H. Sanders, M.D.
George H. Sanders, M.D. was born and raised in Texas. Dr. Sanders graduated Phi Beta Kappa from Rice University. He attended Harvard Medical School where he was elected to the Aesculapian Club for excellence in scholarship and leadership. He then completed his general surgery training as the Chief Resident at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center where he earned the Leo Rigler Award for excellence in surgery. His plastic surgery residency was completed at UCLA where he studied with a number of well-known cosmetic and reconstructive surgeons. He lives in Southern California with his wife and children and he is active in church and community affairs. Dr. Sanders is Board Certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery.
His practice includes both cosmetic and reconstructive surgery. The reconstructive aspect of the practice involves the treatment of skin cancer as well as breast restoration which follows with surgery for cancer.
Dr. Sanders performs many cosmetic surgical procedures mainly those involving facial rejuvenation. Lifting techniques for the face, neck, eyes and forehead may be performed individually or in any combination. In certain cases minimal incision techniques can be used involving the endoscopes. Fat and collagen injections and facial implants are frequently utilized as well.
He performs treatments like skin rejuvenation by means of modern chemical peels and is an area of his special interest. Cream programs are available which replace the need for peels in many patients. Laserbrasion is also used for facial rejuvenation.
He uses body sculpting by means of liposuction, augmentation, reduction and lifting procedures which are additional areas of his expertise. He has a special interest in laser surgery and has used it extensively in his practice. While most of these procedures are done in his outpatient surgery center, named as The Encino Surgicenter. Dr. Sanders is on the staff of several hospitals in the San Fernando Valley. His articles have been published in a variety of medical journals and he is in frequent demand as a speaker to both the public and the medical community.
