Darrick E Antell, MD, DDS
Dr. Antell has been in plastic surgery practice since 1987 and is certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery, the only board recognized by the American Board of Medical Specialties to certify plastic surgeons. He received his undergraduate degree from Hobart College, Geneva, New York and his medical degree from the Medical College of Ohio, Toledo, Ohio. Dr. Antell served a residency in general surgery at Stanford University Medical Center, Stanford, California and plastic/reconstructive surgery residency at The New York Hospital/Cornell Medical Center, New York, NY and Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center, New York, NY.
Dr. Antell is a member of many regional and national medical societies including the American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery and the American Society of Plastic Surgeons. He is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. His profession membership is with Lipoplasty Society of North America, Northeastern Society of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, American Medical Association, New York County Medical Society, The Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations.
Dr. Antell's training is that he also has a Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) from Case Western Reserve University. It is extremely rare today for a plastic surgeon to have the combination of both a Medical and Dental degree as each degree takes four years of training. However, many of the original founders of plastic surgery as a specialty did have this background to better help them analyze and reconstruct the face.
Dr. Antell was received Fellow of the Jacques W. Maliniac Circle of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, President's Citizenship Award, Medical Society of the State of New York.
Dr. Antell performs cosmetic treatments like Botox, Chemical peels, Dermabrasion, Fat & collagen injections, Laser resurfacing and Restylane. He also performs skin operations like Scar Revision / Scar Removal, Skin Malignancies/ Squamous Cell Carcinoma / Basal Cell Carcinoma, Melanoma and Lipoma.
