Dr. Tom Pousti is a San Diego Cosmetic Plastic Surgeon specializing in reconstructive and Cosmetic Plastic Surgery and is dedicated to restoring appearance, self-esteem, function, and quality of life to his patients. After 15 years of extensive medical and surgical training, Dr. Tom Pousti is double board certified in General Surgery as well as Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery.

Dr. Pousti and his wife Marjan reside in San Diego with their three sons and daughter.

About Pousti Plastic Surgery - The Practice

Dr. Tom Pousti and his San Diego Cosmetic Surgery staff are dedicated to providing you with the finest possible medical services. Dr. Pousti also recently opened a new office to serve the needs of Cosmetic Surgery patients in Temecula and Murrieta.

When you meet with Dr. Tom Pousti for the first time, he will carefully examine you and will go over all aspects of the surgery. He will ask you about your expectations, and by using an extensive library of "before" and "after" photographs of previous patients, will explain what can and cannot be done. He will encourage you to speak with patients who have undergone the same procedure you are considering. ASK QUESTIONS! Before you can make an informed decision to undergo surgery, you must feel comfortable and confident. If you and the doctor agree that surgery will benefit you, you can begin to plan for the operation.

Rhinoplasty (Nose):

I have gotten rhinoplasty done. I was 17 when I did it, and I am extremely pleased with the results. Dr. Tom J. Pousti, is absolutely amazing. He truly knows what he is doing and is dedicated to making his patients happy. I am truly pleased with my results, and if I were to do anything, or to recommend anyone, I would certainly think of Dr. Pousti. When I first went into the office, right away every one of the workers, including Dr. Pousti, made me feel welcome and comfortable. If I were to go anywhere else, I would not feel the same. Going through rhinoplasty was a rough time, but Dr. Pousti guided be through it and made sure I was doing fine. If anything were to go wrong he let me know he would be there 24/7! I thank him every time I look in the mirror. =)

Eyelid Surgery:

Looking back at pictures, I realize I always had a lot of skin above my eyes. But as I got into my forties, it really began to droop. My friend recommended Dr. Pousti. The staff is really friendly and my consultation wasn't rushed. I was able to ask and get answers to the questions I wanted to know. One thing I felt Dr. Pousti understood was that I didn't want to look totally different. I just didn't want to look tired when I wasn't. I had my surgery in July. I was awake for the surgery with no pain. I went home and had dinner a couple hours later. Even though I had medication for nausea, I didn't need it. I think that is one of the benefits of local anesthesia. I also didn't need any of the pain medication. At the office you are given a list of post care instructions and we went over them all. I made it a point to follow them exactly. I had read enough to know that healing takes time. If I had any questions all I had to do was call. I had some bruising, in about a week it had faded and turned a light yellow. I went into work (with cover cream) ten days later and everyone loved the eyes. I also went to a formal affair seventeen days after and the eyes looked great. They are still getting better all the time. For the first time if I wanted to wear eyeliner, I can. Before the surgery there really wasn't any room for it. People who know me say they can tell a difference. What I hear most is that my eyes look more open. Liposuction

My experience with Dr. Pousti and his staff has changed me forever. I had come to a point in my life that I had to make a decision. I eat healthy, I exercise, and no matter how low my body fat was, I could not lose weight in my "problem areas". Ladies I think you know what I'm talking about. genetics are evil in my family. I was unhappy with the way my clothes fit, the way I looked in a bathing suit and was tired of NEVER being able to find a good fit in a pair of jeans. I had done lots of reading and talking to people about plastic surgery in general. I spend a good 8 months thinking about it. I made the jump and started scheduling consultations. I had seen 2 doctors prior to my consult with Dr. Pousti and had just about given up. I had my consultation with Dr. Pousti and that is when I knew he was the right doctor. He was kind, truthful, and spent a lot of time with me. I decided to have the surgery that minute. I was not leaving his office until I had a surgery date. Dr. Pousti walked me through the whole process to make sure that things went smoothly and they did. The nurses were fabulous, the office staff was great! I can't say enough good things about the whole experience. It has been almost 2 months after surgery and I look and feel great. Otoplasty

Hi Dr. Pousti and staff. I just wanted to thank you for making my surgery experience a more pleasant one. And for anyone thinking about choosing Dr. Pousti I highly recommend him. I had otoplasty done about a month ago, and my ears look great! Dr. Pousti and his staff are very friendly and knowledgeable. They made sure I spoke with other patients of his so I could find out more about Dr. Pousti and their opinions of him. They love him of course; why else would I trust him with my ears? Even from the first visit he took plenty of time with me answering questions and making me feel at ease. The staff at the surgery center were amazing also. The nurses and my anesthesiologist were so nice and responsive. I'm really happy with my whole experience there. Other than a little sore throat I felt fine after the surgery. Dr. Pousti even called me later that day to see how I was doing. What a nice guy.
