Some men have improved male breast development, due to loss of a lot of weight and have sagging, excess skin or the underlying breast tissue has grown. Male breast reduction is an operation to reduce the size of the breasts by removing excess fat, glandular tissue and skin from the area.

In this operation, the plastic surgeon plastic will make a cut either around the areola or under their arm. It excess fat, skin and breast tissue are then removed in the area, liposuction is performed. This needs a general anesthetic and is usually performed as a day case, but sometimes an overnight stay in hospital is recommended.

Male breast reduction is carrying out on an out patient basis using a common anesthesia. When gynecomastia is regularly caused by fatty tissue, liposuction is performed usually. Liposuction surgery is a procedure used to get rid of unwanted localized deposits of fat cells from the body. A straw like cannula is inserted through a tiny incision placed in an inconspicuous location on the skin. They using a vacuum system attached to the cannula, excess fat cells are sucked out. The result is a resulting of bulging breasts into more attractive contours.

If gynecomastia is due to a glandular disorder, liposuction is not good option. The excision may be performed alone or in conjunction with liposuction. Normally, the incision is located on the edge of the areola area. Surgeon will work through these incisions to cut away the excess glandular tissue, fat and skin from the breast. If their reduction needs to removal of large amounts of tissue, larger incisions may be required.  System attached to the cannula, excess fat cells are sucked out. The result is a resulting of bulging breasts into more attractive contours.

Bed rest is recommended for the first day, because patient will experience some pain for some days. Most pain connected with breast surgery can be controlled with oral medication prescribed by surgeon. Antibiotics may also be prescribed; most men experience some degree of swelling, bruising and tenderness. These symptoms should subside in a short time, within about 2 weeks, all stitches are removed. Surgeon will advise patient on a proper schedule for returning to their normal activities.
