Dr. Robert Caridi, M.D., F.A.C.S. founder and surgeon of Westlake Plastic Surgery, he has established his practice based on strong and current surgical skills, patient rapport, high quality service, and emphasis on professionalism and mutual respect.
Dr. Robert Caridi is board certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and a fellow of the American College of Surgeons. He attended John Dewey High School in Brooklyn, New York. He started his undergraduate training in 1976 at the State University of New York at Stony Brook. He transferred to The University of Texas at Austin in 1979 and earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology in 1981. Dr. Robert Caridi attended medical school at The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston from 1981 to 1985, where he earning his medical degree.
After medical school, Dr. Caridi did a 3 year general surgery internship, a 3 year plastic surgery residency, and a 1 year plastic surgery fellowship at the Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York City. Dr. Caridi administered medicine and surgery at The Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City and completed rotations at the affiliates; Beth Israel Medical Center, New York, NY; The Bronx Veterans Administration Medical Center, Bronx, NY; The City Hospital Center at Elmhurst, Queens, NY; and The Westchester County Medical Center Burn Unit, Valhalla, NY.
Dr. Robert Caridi studied at the State University of New York at Stony Brook; then received his undergraduate degree from The University of Texas at Austin; a medical degree from The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston and completed a 7 year general surgery and plastic surgery residency and fellowship at The Mount Sinai Hospital in Manhattan. He is board certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery, a fellow of the American College of Surgeons and a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons.
Dr. Caridi began private practice with a plastic surgery group in the Chicago suburbs where he remained for 8 years. In 2000, Dr. Caridi and his family relocated to Austin, Texas, and founded Westlake Plastic Surgery. Dr. Caridi has been performing surgery for 20 years. He has specialized in cosmetic plastic surgery for the past 15 year.
