Upper Arm Lift Cost

Loose upper arm skin is most often related to weight loss. If you were ever overweight, you would more likely develop heavy upper arms. To accommodate the increased volume of the upper arms, the skin gets stretched. After weight loss, skin often fails to tighten, and so it sags. The only way to improve this problem is through an arm lift which is also called brachioplasty.

Many people would like to know about the cost of plastic surgery procedures cost in general. In spite of its reputation, and experience, the fees are generally comparable to the national averages. Most of the hospital chose to keep fees down to make plastic surgery available to everyone. Following is a list of the cost of upper arm lift available throughout the country.

Upper arm lift fees are based on the average time each procedure takes. As operating room and anesthesia fees are based on time, fees may be higher or lower if procedure is scheduled for longer or shorter than average. If it is choose to combine procedures, the total cost may be lower of two combined procedure. This is because the total operating room time and anesthesia time of a combined procedure is less than the total of two separate procedures. The cost keeps changing and are updated every year.

When making a call to plastic surgeon's to inquire about the cost, be certain to ask if each of these fees are included, since this is important, because often they will only tell the surgeon's fee, which makes up only 60-80% of the total cost and then when the appointment is scheduled, one should see the plastic surgeon and receive the rate quote, to avoid a sticker shock. Costs in the United States are surprisingly uniform from coast to coast; the only exception is the New York area, where one has to pay about 50% more than the prices quoted.

The total cost of the upper arm lift is around five thousand dollars to six thousand five hundred dollars and it is advised not to cut cost by sacrificing safety or having the procedure done in a non-accredited facility. It is recommended to always have the procedure done in an accredited hospitals or accredited surgery center or accredited plastic surgery offices.
